Overview of BIS / ISI Mark

Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) is the National Standards body of India. The ISI mark confirms that a product conforms to the Indian Standards developed by BIS. It is a symbol of quality, safety, and reliability for the customer.

While certification is generally voluntary, the Government of India has made it Mandatory for certain products under the Compulsory Registration Scheme (CRS) for public health and safety.

Electrical Appliances

Trademark Certificate (Brand Name)
Product Test Report (from BIS Lab)
Affidavit cum Undertaking (Format C)

Registration Process

1

Online Registration

We create your profile on the BIS portal and generate User ID & Password.

Product Testing

We assist in submitting product samples to a BIS-recognized lab for testing. A Test Report is generated.

Application Filing (Form VI & VII)

We submit the online application along with the Test Report and pay the government fees.

4

Hard Copy Submission

Physical copies of the application must be submitted to the BIS office within 15 days of online filing.

5

Grant of Licence

After scrutiny, BIS grants the Registration. It is valid for 2 years and can be renewed.
